Ministry Accomplished
What if the small, faithful thing you did today had consequences 2,000 years from now?
Tychicus did. He hand-carried Paul's letters — Ephesians, Colossians, Philemon — over 1,200 miles of dangerous roads and open sea. No fame. No recognition. Just a man who showed up, stayed faithful, and delivered.
You're still reading those letters today because of him.
In this message from Ephesians 6:21-24, Pastor Jim Burnham closes out the entire book of Ephesians by unpacking what committed ministry actually looks like — not on a stage, but in the dust and grime of everyday life serving one another.
You'll discover three marks of a faithful minister:
✅ Ministry-minded — eyes up, looking for needs around you
✅ Trustworthy — faithful in the small things God puts in your hands
✅ Available — not so booked up that God can't send you somewhere
We also look honestly at two contrasting stories: Demas, who loved the present world and walked away from his calling — and John Mark, who failed, was written off by Paul, and was fully restored. Paul's final letter says of him: "He is very useful to me for ministry."
And we close where Ephesians itself closes — with the four words that bookend the entire letter: peace, love, faith, and grace. All of it flowing from God. None of it earned.
👉 Who needs a text from you this week? A prayer? A word of encouragement? That's what it means to be a modern-day Tychicus.
